I have a Buff Orpington that on one tip of her comb looks like it was bleached. Does anyone know why it is that color?

Could you post a photo of her comb? It is possible that the comb point is frostbitten (if it is cold where you are). Or, it may have lacked circulation temporarily, or be injured a little--I've often found that if parts of a comb get injured and scab up, when the the scab falls off, the newly healed area is lighter colored for a little while.

I also would say it's frostbite since that is the main reason that chickens comb would turn white. I have a buff Orpington as well and she has a white spot just on the end of her comb due to frostbite.

x2. That sounds like early stages of frostbite. You should put some vassaline on the infected area. That will help heal it.
