Comb Contest - Carnation! - Winner Announced!

It's hard to tell from the front. It doesn't look big enough. How old is she. A carnation comb on a hen is supposed to flop over to one side. She may have the blood of a carnation comb bird.

She was a pullet in that pic, she is a year old now. Not any specific breed either, just a barnyard chicken.

Her hatchmates had the same comb, but she is the only one I kept.

Have I mentioned I have some really awesome judges?!

Anyway........ I'm sure y'all are waiting for the winner..................................

I am pleased to announce that the winner of this contest is ChickenCanoe and their Black Penedesenca rooster!
Let's give 'em a big round of applause!

On a side note, this contest was judged the same way the single comb contest was. 2 guidelines:
  1. Quality of the photo
  2. How well the comb matched the standard

It was a hard one, too.

So congratulations, ChickenCanoe!

Thank you so much.
I have a couple better ones (younger without frostbite damage) that I wanted to post but as you all know Penes are not fond of being handled so I just went with the first pics of my oldest rooster.
