Age:3 years
Breed: Fawn Silver Duckwing Old English Game Bantam

His comb was once large and beautiful like the rest of his kind........BUT his previous owner cut it off with scissors......
I posted him on here because, despite his handicap, he still has a comb on the inside.........
Bless his heart. How could anyone be so mean spirited to do something like cutting off a roosters comb or harming them in any way.. I guess I will never understand the nature of some people.
Exene, the Welsumner and Bonnie, the Rhode Island Red. Photos taken on Easter Sunday. Both hens are 3 years old and both have been struggling with internal laying for the past year...Bonnie just quit laying one day and Exene almost died a year ago from egg yolk periotinitis....but she pulled through. In the past several months her comb has tripled in size and she has started to grow spur bumps- so clearly something is messed up inside. Sadly, Bonnie is now swollen up like a beach ball- but her appetite is still great. Both hens were great layers for about a year and half.
