Comb Development and Secondary Sex Traits in babies?

Well elderoo...you aren't very encouraging!!! I just told my 10 year old son the alternatives and he wasn't particularly happy! This would bum me out big time, I promised ds that they wouldn't be eaten and I need to live by that!

Ive heard that naming them after foods does the trick. Fricassee, Coq au Vin and 'Dumpling' are my favs.

Today I went to the Bamtam show at Deerfield Fairgrounds in NH...After seeing pullet and roo wyandottes, it is pretty easy to figure out I have a roo wyandotte, there is a definate multi-pointed comb (no knowing the right word) starting on top of head... As for my two rirs, seeing as both pullets and roos have the same feature on their heads, I will have to wait! Both of mine have combs beginning one is considerably bigger than the other. I am very bummed at the thought of roos and having to get rid of them!

There were some beautiful birds being shown as well as some for sale outside...I so wanted to come home with a polish frizzle pullet but my coop isn't ready yet!

Well, here they are again, a little bigger, any thoughts as to sex?
the reds, one has a more pronounced tail

the wyandottes, one has a tail just like the red, but this is such a cute pic
