Hello everyone I have a question about the comb of a lavender Orpington chick that I have. I got them on March 10th and as they have grown and their comb developed they have always had a darker looking comb. I am New to the Orpington breed as well as lavender or grey chickens. They are in a brooder with 8 other chicks of mixed variety (2 black copper marans, silver dorking, starlight green egger, an olive egger(possible sapphire due to tuft on head), ameraucana, and a prairie blue bell) the only other chicks with anything similar are the black copper marans but it is very mild if at all. No other chicks in the brooder clutch have anything like this. Is the lavender getting picked on, anemic, flock pox (since March) or is this normal comb development in Orpington chicks or lavender chickens. My other adult laying hens are Isa browns and golden comets and have never seen this before.
