HELLO my chicken comb has been a purple color and flopped over for 3 weeks now I have not seen mites but have dusted with poultry dust and de, they have been wormed,it has been crazy hot since I am in AZ, they are not lethargic. Any ideas what could cause this?

Welcome to BYC! I'm glad you joined us! :) It's hard to tell by the picture, but the comb doesn't look too bad to me. If you continue to be more concerned about the situation, try posting in the "Emergencies/Diseases/Injuries and Cures" section.

Hi :welcome

I have to agree with Bantam fan that the comb does not look too bad. How old is your bird? If they are young and are still growing the comb may change shape ie the flopping over of it as it gets bigger. Please do post in the /emergencies/injury/cure

Welcome to BYC! I also agree with the others that it does not look to serious. Some of my chickens' combs have done the same thing and so far nothing else has occurred. Hope you enjoy BYC.

Doesn't seem to have much discoloration at all, if it's a white female leghorn, their combs do flop over to the side.
