Comb Fungus?

I have a Barred Rock hen, she has a large comb, it is white , crusty and has several pin size holes in the white area! Can anyone tell me what this is and what I should do about it?

Thanks for writing me back...and I did look up favus, it seemed like all the combs had black on them and not white and scaly. I looked through alot of different diseases like pox, thrush, etc., and nothing comes close to what my hen has. So that being said, I'm going to continue looking through other peoples problems, like maybe frostbite since we did have a couple of days of abnormally cold days. But, could I just rub vaseline on the comb to help the problem, or does that not work? Any words of wisdom will be appreciated!!

If it is favus, it is contagious to you as well as the other chickens. Wear gloves to treat it. Lotrimin, Tinactin, and other antifungal creams can help. Favus can look white then gray later. Just Google favus pictures.

Thanks for the information!!!!! How long does the cream take to work, and should I treat the other hens (I have 5 others) just in case? They all look fine right now, or should I quarantine the hen somehow till she is better? This is my first experience with chicken problems, my hens are 8 mos. old. Any help, info, guidance, hand holding will be appreciated!
