Dear all,

My serama/bantam chicken is 2 years old now. Its been more than 6 months he’s suffering yellow and white spots on his comb. Day by day, it gets harder and spots are increasing.
Sent to the vet, but the doctor said those are dandruff. I doubt that.
I’ve tried applying herb medicine cream, garlic, antibiotic cream and shampoo it as well.
He’s comb is not getting any better. He looks healthy and fine. But im really concern about his comb. Please help :’(

It looks like a scab to me. What antibiotic cream did you use? He may be getting pecked, which is re-injuring it. Does it always look the same, ever any dark spots? I'm not seeing any white, just yellowish scab looking stuff. If neosporin ointment doesn't clear it up then I would try using something like Blu-kote to help prevent pecking of that area if that's the cause, or an antifungal like miconazole (athletes foot medicine) or dab some 2% iodine on it for a couple of weeks in case it's a mild case of favus (chicken ringworm fungus). You can search for favus in chickens for lots of images to compare.

Many thanks for the kind advise. I used antibiotic ointment, which was quite long ago. Then i tried Dermanol (herbal skin cream for animal-contains cedrus deodara, pongamia glabra, eucalyptus sps).
My apologies that im lack of knowledge in raising animals. Would be very grateful if you could advise where could i get those medicine you mentioned-pharmacy or vet? Thank you so much Coach723

Where are you located generally? In the US all of those (exept Blu-kote) are available over the counter at any drug store, wal-mart etc. Blu-kote is available at most stores that sell livestock supplies.
