Has anyone ever seen this before? I’ve had chickens for a decade and have never seen this.
It’s a yellow crust that this rooster has under his wattles & some patches on his legs and top of his wings. His comb had some too.
I’ve bathed him & picked a lot of it off with tweezers. Then applied Monistat because it’s what I have on hand and I’m thinking it’s fungal?
Other than this, he eats drinks and acts just fine.
Is this favus? Online photos make favus seem powdery. This is chunky yellow…
What can I buy to try? I’ve been doing the Monistat for about 5 days now and I’m not seeing much improvement…
Rooster is approximately 2 years old, paint silkie. He’s low on the pecking order so he gets beat up by other roosters a lot. But I’ve quarantined him.
