Comb help

The roo's comb should never flop. The hens of some breeds (leghorns and Minorcas) are required to flop but the male's should always stand upright. Depending on how badly flopped it is it's either a defect or a DQ. You can't fix it.

If it's an Ameraucana with a single comb it doesn't matter that it flopped over it would be disqualified anyway. Ameraucanas have pea combs.
If it's something other than an Ameraucana there's probably nothing you can do the straighten it. Sometimes a single combed male's comb will flop if it's kept inside in too small a pen & sometimes it will straighten back up if he's moved outside into a larger pen-I emphasize sometimes.

One other thought that just occurred to me is what is the comb colour? Has that changed with the "flop" (gotten darker, more purplish)? How does he seem to be acting? Bright, alert, clear eyes and nose?
