Comb injury, inside or out?

Charlotte, my 1 year old has a nasty comb injury. Looks like someone took a big bite. Anyway, I am worried about a fly strike. Should I leave her in for a day or so?

No its not ripped off just a nasty bite. I will send her out in the morning. Thank you for the advice. I would loose it if the flies got her she is a lap chicken.

Yeah, I would maybe set up a disposable fly trap just to be safe. They are the BEST

It's fine. Wipe it off and let her out with her friends so she can continue to chicken

Eek! Poor girl! One of my Cinnamon Queens took a chunk out of the base of my RIR's comb in a dominance fight. It scabbed over quickly, but I Blu Koted it just in case. It's completely healed over now, no signs of any scuffle.

Fly strike is way more likely to happen on poppy butts than a comb injury.
