Hello! We are new to having chickens. We have a tiny little bantam rooster who is very sweet. He is pretty aggressive to make up for his size. I just noticed today that his comb is a little purple. Its not cold so that isn't the issue. I was just wondering what could cause this and if i should be worried. He is acting just the same and he is his normal self. It also looks a little shriveled like the blood isn't reaching there. :idunno I'm very worried about him. AlsoI don't know if this is related but his feet are shaky when you hold him. It's been like this forever though. Here is a picture it wouldn't show up very well. This happen with another rooster when my duck bit his comb so maybe something like that happened?

thank you guys he is fine, I have just seen so many post about dying chickens having combs turn purple but I shouldn't have freaked out.

Nope he's totally OK, no comb problem there.
The shaking feet are a puzzle but nothing painful or dangerous.
Glad to hear it!

I have 2 Leggys & both of their Floppy Wobblers have had a purple spot like your guy’s since they started to grow! I was worried, too, but I talked to my boy’s PawPaw (he’s literally a chicken guru & knows probably everything there is to know! 😂) and he said it was perfectly normal unless it starts to cover the whole FW. If it helps, both of his Bantam Roosters have the same purple spot in the same location as your guy’s! I posted on the giveaway thread about Hen Healer, so if you know more about how to navigate the website than I do (I’m still kind of a newbie) it’s got a link to TSC & you can try some of that! It won’t make the purple spot go away unless it’s a bruise, but it will deter others from trying to peck at it since it’s a different color! Hope it helps & give your cutie a snug for me if he like snugs! 😊
