comb turning white **NEW UPDATE ON COMB**

can anyone tell me if a fungal infection would cause the comb to become white and swollen too? it felt a little warm also.
Can you post a picture of the comb? Favus can cause white chaulky spots or tissue on the comb. I'm not certain that swelling would be a symptom.
 
Has she had any recent frostbite? Swelling of the comb is not very normal. Others have described a warm feeling to a swollen comb. My guess would be a seroma, which is a pocket of serum under the skin from an injury or trauma to the comb. Those can take a long time to go down in other parts of the body. As long as she is not acting sick, I would probably ignore it. Here are some other threads with comb swelling and no answers:
