comb variation on barred rocks

How much variation in comb size can a BR hen have? I have been looking at pics, and most posted on BYC and other sites show pretty small combs. The neighbor's chicken that lives in my barn has a fairly respectable size comb- bigger than the pics I have seen. I think she is from a hatchery, so would that be the reason?

The Plymouth Rock family has varly small combs compared to many other breeds like leghorns. You will see some variation in size from hatchetry birds but none should be big. I think most of mine are a inch high maybe inch and a half. They only thing bigger than that is my rooster.
