Comb, wattles, and hair. Polish sexing ?'s.

I just placed an ad on craigslist hoping someone might sell me one or two they know are female....just in case. *sigh* I agree it doesn't look good.

I wanted to poke those little wattles right back in when they popped up on Violet, too.

I got 4 Silkies and these two guys that were all, of course, straight run. So I knew I was taking a huge risk. One Silkie died and I think one of the remaining is a boy and then probably two boys here. *sigh*

I wonder if anyone has ever tried the poking them back in thing and if it works???

I just got 2 bantam polish golden laced s/r and I am so worried they are both roos!! They are just a week old so I have awhile before I will know but they are so beautiful already I pray one is a pullet!!!

Hey guys my little polish baby is nearly 6 weeks. Today I notice little like skin tag looking nubs where a comb would normally be at. Would that imply that my baby is a rooster? Or is there a chance still that it may be a hen?

I bought 2 black white crested HENS or so I thought,
turns out they are both roosters! loud, bossy and very
aggressive to all my hens, "even me sometimes" but I
raised them from day old chicks so I think I can tame them down someday they are very colorful teenagers.
But,....... What is with the purple ears?

What did they end up being. I have known black and white crested polish pullets to develop red wattles very early on.. so don't always judge the polish from wattle development.

I hope you’re right about the wattle development!
