Comb?

is this a pearl or rose comb? This chick’s comb area has color while siblings’ are colorless and hardly there. Thanks!

looks like a pea comb to me. This is a buff brahma, right? And yea, that's gonna grow up to be a cockerel.

Thank you. Yes, I believe they are brahmas (feathered feet) and this one is the only one with this much comb (the others have light colored single row.) They are 5 weeks old.

It's a pea comb. And if you hadn't said it was a Buff Brahma I would have guessed that and cockerel.

For further refrence @CrashingPines when you have pea combs count the rows, 3 rows means male only 1 row means female. Gorgeous little brahmas btw, great breed.

Thank you! This is very helpful. The four EE are from Tractor Supply any tips on sexing them? They are super calm and sweet. The other 7 are from the hatchery as a surprise mix. I think I received all Brahmas though. And there’s this tiny imposter! He/she (center) is quite spunky and has feathered feet too!

If your EE got the pea comb then you can count the rows, if not then it is a waiting game to see who's comb reddens up early.
