So I have a group of chicks I ordered from meyers hatchery on july 7th two died and I'm getting a few replacements plus three extra chicks that should arrive any day now. I know it's not a huge age gap between them but just to be safe: will I be able to have them in the same brooder with out the risk of injury or sickness? They all come from the same hatchery so I'd figure I wouldn't have to raise the separately. Thanks for helping! :D

The theory that I've read here a number of times is that it's safe to mix chicks of different ages as long as they are all 4 weeks or less. If I did it, though, I would do it with ample space and some distractions, never mind supervison....

Yes you can put them together just make sure will the chicks are up and running around ...

Not all of her egg's hatched on the same day so some of these chicks are more then a week apart and other pullets were giving her egg's after she started sitting ........
