I want to combine my 3 chicken tractors into one big coop. All of the coops are together, and the chickens can "see" each other. Would you do anything special?

Also, I had one of chickens get worked over by a skunk. The other chickens and roosters started picking on her. I put her in a dog crate and gave her a week to recuperate. I tried to put her back in and they went after her. [IMG] Suggestions?

You could put a "friend" chicken in with her so it's 2 of them to bond. Can the others see the injured chook where she is now?

You may have to decide if:
    1. it's worthwhile to reintroduce her
    2. it's best to just let them duke it out & re-establish their pecking order
    3. serious injury is a threat

    Good luck!

When my hen almost died from a dog attack, I made her a nice thick saddle that had a front and back to both keep her warm and protected! The others did want to pick at her, but She healed up nicely and now is full of feathers again....

Here is a picture of how bad it was and how I fixed her up so she could head out side!

    And here is her saddle
