combining new chicks

I have two hens that are a little over 6 months, a Barred Rock and a Rhode Island Red. Then I got more chicks this week. Twice. Tuesday, I got four week-old Production Reds. Then Thursday, I picked up six Ameraucanas. They have been sexed.

I know about quarantining them from the older hens - as well as waiting until the chicks are all older to introduce. My question is if I need to quarantine them from each other. Both sets of chicks were purchased from the same store and come from local hatcheries, but the first batch had been at the store for a full week, and the second batch had just arrived that morning.

Put them together and see how they do, if they peck at each-other leave them, because they are establishing rank. If it gets bloody or really harsh, then you have to quarantine them. If they are around the same age, then it should be fine, just keep an eye on them. Hope this helps,

The ones that had been at the store for a week, no telling what they have been exposed to; people walking around their own sick chickens then going to the feed store walking around spreading germs.
You get the idea.

I put the young ones together - after a week or so, and they've done fine. I waited until the chicks were 18 weeks and tried putting everyone together. That got ugly... Went out there one morning and all the "chicks" were out of the coop and on roosts around it. The two older hens were walking patrol across the doors. Guess I need a bigger coop

Mine are younger but I have 2- 4week, 2- 2week, 2- 1week and 10- 1 day olds all mixed together and they do just fine. I just kept an eye on them to make sure the babies were ok.
