combs and wattles growing!

Our golden comets and amberlinks are beginning to grow heavier combs and wattles this week, and they are turning red. Yippee! They are approaching 14 weeks by my best calculation. What else can we expect to see before laying starts, and is this an indicator that we are within weeks, or is there just no telling for sure?

Getting red combs is a good sign. Also, if they do the "squat" for you as you approach them. 14 weeks is still young, so you might have a ways to go. I know the wait for eggs is hard!
