Combs

I found that with chicks I do have to watch available space.

If you pack them in too tight... they will eat each other.

The white Leghorns do mellow down very nicely once they age.

In general:

I found the rose comb whites not quite as cannibalistic as the single comb whites.

The dark brown rose comb have no more cannibalistic tendancies than the average chicken, but they do not calm down, they stay super wild.

The single comb whites are the best egg layers, but tend to get reproductive issues at a year.. not that many make it past 2 years of age.

The other Leghorns don't lay quite as well as the single comb whites, and their eggs are a bit smaller, but they live way longer on average, and are not as cannibalistic.

I have had a fair number of single cmb whites, rose comb whites, and rose comb dark brown.

I have had a few single comb light brown, black, and exchequer.

Thanks...that's a lot of info! I do need to spread them out a bit, at this point, I'm thinking of moving these three girls to their own brooder space very soon.
