even though he hasn't dropped? when i have bunnies from my girls i leave them in till they r 6-8 weeks old usually with mom. i thought maturity was based on breeds and how fast they mature? smaller rabbits like dwarfs r usually about 4-5 mths, the biggest ones like flemish is usually about 9-10 and ones like holland lops r about 5-6. now cottontails r usually 2 mths old but that is a wild not domesticated rabbit. i'm curious where u found this info i'd love to read up more about it and learn more. i've never had a male that didn't drop try to breed, or a girl that young go into heat mabe i'm wrong but i didn't think it was possible yet due to their organs not being matured enough.

am i missing something?

I think 4 weeks is unrealistic. I generally say as young as 12 weeks, although even that would be 'uncommon' at best.
