Oh my gosh next week, I know your excited and I look forward to seeing them and hearing all about them.Arrival date is august 21st. I'm getting a cayuga and a welsh harlequin. I've always wanted a WH and I am finally getting one!![]()
slick surfaces like you have can cause leg problems. best to use old clean towels or the rubber shelf liner. and the grate over the pan where their water and food is can they walk on it okay? I'd be worried they may get their legs caught when so tiny. Sorry if I sound critical I'm not just wanting to share some things I've learned and hopefully help. They look adorable need more pics,.hi, i really hope you don't mind me hijacking your thread, but i just hatched ducklings about 12 days ago, and thought you'd like to see my set up......
this was the first brooder box i made for my ducklings...it lasted 3 days before being absolutely trashed lol
this 2nd pic shows their new pen....it's loads bigger for them, and SO much easier to keep clean
they're only about 5 days old here, and i can't believe how big they are today at 12 days...gonna have to take some more pics!

Good for you, it's hard to pick up things like that in a pic. so now put the camera in your pocket so we can see some picshi, i made sure to buy the anti slip vinyl flooring,,,cost me £25 for that size!! its has little raised lines on it that makes it non slippy, but yes you're right....lino is extremely slippery, thats why i paid more for a better quality ....and i spend too much time playing with them lol, and forget to take pics!!
