come on am i the only one without show quality silkies

i really want show quality silkies but they are really expensive. i keep asking breeders how much they cost and they are like $60 for one and whenever i talk to anyone on here it seems like they own some nice quality silkies. i just wish i had some cause my parents arent budging on the budget im allowed to spend on "chickens"

My silkies are far from show quality! Better that way, for me...I don't want to show them anyway and they are still cute!

yeah i do love them but all the kids in 4h have show quality birds except me

they are expensive I have over $400 in my flock of 6 silkies but have no rooster or Id help you out HUH! Might have one this fall for breeding HOPEFULLY!!!! So keep in touch and I might send some eggs or something to ya!

Let's see. Ask for a pair for your birthday or Christmas; ask for chores to earn extra money; find a nearby breeder and ask if you can clean coops, feed & water birds, etc. in exchange for a nice pair.

Started birds are not as expensive as ones who are mature.
