Hens that are kept in tiny cages barely able to move. They are used for mass egg production.
Once they are a few months old they are swapped over for new hens. The ones I have would have been killed. They're perfectly good hens.
So sad.

@H-B-O just because I shoot pests doesn't mean I don't care about animals. I love animals and I do everything I can to help them.
They're my life
Well its good you saved them.

Well, all animals (Even the pests) have a life, and a family. Even though they are pests they have a meaning, and just bc they eat you chicken food or poop all over does not mean you should take there lives away from them. We all have different opinions, and thats fine. My personal opinion is that all animals deserve to live a life, untill they have done the deed they were made to do. (Whether its to be meat or to produce offspring) Sorry i have been yelling to you about this, but i just have a different opinion on shooting animals.

Are you a vegetarian?

Okay, that’s fine. Your dogs are gorgeous. You have two right? What does the other look like? What breed?
Yes, I own two Raven (Ranger's wife) is the same breed. Here is their breed make up 75% Great Pyr, 12.5% Aanatolian shepherd, and 12.5% Aussie

They both act like Great Pyr's more than anything but because of the other breeds they don't always look like them. However, one of the puppies from their last litter looks just like a GP and is bigger than Ranger already and still growing (The puppy is around 9 months).

And here are some pictures of Raven (Mommy to puppies).

She is much smaller than Ranger. I'd say she's a bit bigger than a lab, but that's it.

Ranger left and Raven right.

I understand what you mean. But I would say that if any animal is a threat to my livelihood, it has to go. If wild animals eat the feed, they are a serious threat to my animals, because they can pass a disease to my animals. As a matter of fact that happened to my friend birds. Or they can just start coming for feed every day, and that means less for my animals.

I understand where your coming from though, I don't enjoy shooting animals (9 times out of 10) but sometimes that's the way it is.
