This morning she is still alive, but seems less active.

On Friday evening we noticed her not leaving a spot in a bedroom (sitting on a small pillow) and she wouldn’t eat or drink.

We do believe she is dying. She’s pretty old now (at least 17 years) and has a few recent issues like kidney failure, hyper thyroid, anemia, weight loss (she’s only about 4.5 pounds when we last took her to the vet)

Lots of these issues are just from getting old.

Two of her issues (I believe the kidney failure and hyper thyroid) if you tried treating the kidneys, it makes the other issue worse, and the other way around.

She’s even more lethargic now, and won’t even use the bathroom (even when we take her to her litter box) because she’s so dehydrated.

She drank a tiny bit yesterday, but not much. I don’t know if she’s drank today yet. And she refuses to eat.

We’re trying to just make her as comfortable as possible. It sucks not knowing when she will pass.

When she was younger, she was a stray that got hit by a truck. The truck driver went around trying to find the owners, but didn’t find them as Ginger was a stray. So he went around asking if anyone wanted her, and my family took her in, and payed for the expensive surgery.


I keep trying to remind myself that she lived a long happy life, but it’s still pretty hard.

I wasn’t on yesterday that much, sorry that I didn’t respond sooner
