There are a LOT of issues that affect males more than females (for humans).

I would think it is totally possible for chickens, as it does make sense. But then, my next question would be...what are some hereditary diseases in chickens that are on the Z chromosome?

That’s interesting. None that I know of. That might be a fun thing to look into.
