The scariest thing just happened! My lovebird (who bites hard enough to puncture hands) escaped while the house dogs were out! I was putting her water bowel back in her cage but for some reason she decided to fly out (lovebirds don't normally fly a whole lot.) She landed on the floor and all three dogs instantly lunged at her! One of the dogs was practically on top of her! I pushed them all back and grabbed her. I put her back in her cage and she DIDN'T bite me, which is a first.

Luckily she's fine but she almost wasn't.

She's a fischer's lovebird. This type of lovebird is hard to tame and tends to bite. I got her a few years ago when she was already an adult.

Oh, I like those, they're super cute. I actually just saw someone else that has one on a different forum I'm on. They have such fluffy little faces.

I'm sorry about Lovie. Here's a bad pic of mine. It's difficult to get a good pic if her because she's always moving! I don't know why she has grooves in her beak.
