I feel so old cause most kids haven’t seen it now I feel like 😂🤣 it’s all like Frozen and Tangled and Brave and Moana and Marvel stuff LOL which are all amazing but still. 😂🤣 I actually haven’t seen Moana or Frozen lol
I KNOW!!!! Except Frozen isn’t amazing. Worst movie ever.

It’s so sad, none of them compare to the Disney classics.

I love Moana! I love the message it sends of women empowering women, taking care of the world, and the revival of the Goddess (which is along my belief system but I won’t go into it, don’t want to make people uncomfortable). I also love how Disney went to actual Samoan people for the story (of course Disney had to change some things). The beginning song is permission from their Gods to tell the story, which is culturally important. (I want you all know that I’m actually nervous to post this).

As for Frozen, I like the second one, but the first one...I loathe to pieces. It just fell so flat; the music is the only thing that gave it any survivability. Brave I have some issues about. I like the Marvel movies because the humour is enough to keep me going with the action. Most “princess” Disney movies I can live without.
Romance. Blec.

Wow that’s awesome! I had no idea! That’s really cool!! And don’t be nervous! You’re sharing some interesting stuff!

I might have to watch Frozen just to say I’ve seen it LOL Curious your thoughts on Brave? And yeah I love the humor in the Marvel movies! It’s amazing! 😂🥰🥰 and yeah I hate the typical princess movies too LOL I liked the animal ones 😂🤣

Don’t do it! You’re not missing much! I can’t even psychoanalyse it; the plot points just do not any make sense to me. I enjoy the second one because of the empowerment it brings; they honestly seem two different movies with the same character names rather than a continuation or sequel.

I like Brave, I really do; a Scottish girl who’s trying to be her own person in a world where women are basically owned and the mother who’s trying to care for her is an outstanding idea. I personally didn’t like that it switched from Merida trying to be a strong, individual woman who wishes to find her own way in life to finding a way to cure her mother from turning into a bear. To me it seems like it should be two different stories. I’m really trying not to hate on it. I would have like to see two different movies with those ideas.

I love the animal ones too! Though I have to admit that I can’t wait until I can see the live action Mulan. The animated movie bothers me greatly with all the horrible stereotypes , so I hope the live action is redeeming.

Huh interesting!!! Maybe I’ll have to watch the second one then hahah

And that’s totally understandable!! I never thought of it like that but I haven’t seen it in a while. Might have to rewatch it!! Maybe they were trying to show something about family being important and/or sacrifice or something? Like sacrificing her independence to save her mom? Idk. Just guessing here cause it’s been a while since I’ve seen it LOL

And yeah that makes sense! I loved it as a kid but it’s definitely got a lot of that stuff! Maybe the live action will be better. I did like the Lion King and especially Beauty and the Beast live actions/remakes. I haven’t seen the Jungle Book one yet.

That could be a reason why too; family is important whether it’s blood related or chosen. Mothers are also important, which to at proves. I’ll have to rewatch it.

Wait...I think I saw Jungle Book! I don’t remember any of it. I did like the live Aladdin! Will Smith as genie was hilarious! Did you notice how pretty the nails were in Jafar?

Yeah I’m sure they had a good reason for doing it that way. I wanna rewatch it too LOL

Wait when did the Aladdin one come out!? I didn’t even know that one was out!  I’m gonna have to watch it!

Please allow me to be immature -clears throat-: OMG WATCH IT!!

It does follow the story a bit loosely—the important parts are still included, but the music, choreography, and the added story is just amazing. I want to mention so much, but if you watch it, I don’t want to throw any spoilers. I actually like it better than “Beauty and the Beast”!

Awesome!!! I’ll watch it tonight and take a break from Criminal Minds LOL
