I'm wanting to get some homers! Specifically ash red ones. If my family ends up going to Tennessee like we've been talking about then I'll get some homing pigeons from backyard pigeons!

I bought two homing pigeons once. They flew away. then I went and bought two more, and they flew away. (found out I had bought the same pair twice)

I definitely will, they don’t have as many this time of year but I will take pics of what they do have.

Have you seen fan tailed pigeons?

I have seen them and I love them but they don't have homing instincts so if a predator scattered them when they loft flew then they wouldn't be able to find their way home. I may get some to put in my quail aviary when that's done though!

Ohh okay, I just think fan tailed are very pretty. I think it would be cool to go to someones house then once you get bored you can write a message to home.

Yea they have so many exotics and I sometimes get good prices because I’ve befriended the owners. They have hairless guinea pigs, hedgehogs, giant tortoises, skunks, some crazy exotic reptiles, pigeons, doves, quail, prairie dogs and so many more that I can’t think of. I need to take some pics when I go. They even had a lavender skunk.
