Jack was literally like 6-7 lbs at 4 months old but my Buffs are tiny LOL and his “brother” wasn’t that big either. Maybe the Lavs are bigger than the other colors LOL Max and Freddy inherited that size but not the sisters

Eh, I love the cold! You just don't want to stay in too long, or else you die.
(But seriously - it's so sad - one kid, on his graduation day, decided to celebrate by taking a boat out into the Puget - then he fell in and they couldn't get him out for 15 minutes - and he died from the cold. It happened right in front of my grandmother's house. )
Many of my family have caught hypothermia - they lived, thankfully.
But for me, I jump from a really high dock into the water, summer or winter. I just get out within 15 minutes in the summer, and 5 minutes in the winter.

I had a dream not so long ago that I accidentally killed a dishwasher tablet. I woke up feeling really upset and sorry for the dishwasher tablet.

My day:

My mother told me to come outside because one of my colonies of mice was dead. That colony had 8 adult females and almost 50 babies who were just barely weaned. They had scratched bedding in front of their water bottle so that the tip was in the bedding and the full water bottle completely leaked out into their bedding. It got to freezing temps at night and by morning it was too late for most of them. 13 babies had stayed alive by sitting with the frozen adults who gave their lives to keep their babies from freezing too. It was too late for 5 of the babies who were alive when I found them but the number of babies who were dead when I found them is too many.... I've lost every special colored/extremely friendly one that I was keeping an eye on in that toat. Sunfire, Heart Face, the one with the head spot, the chocolate pied, the variegated chocolate pied, and all the others who someone was going to buy next week when they were completely weaned.

I try to look on the bright side though. At least I was able to save 8 of them. Sorry for the depressing post.
