Ah! Awesome! We actually wanted to watch that one with the 6 year old because of the positive image! Which was not like the She-Ra I grew up with. I’m definitely glad times have changed.
It’s a really good show, it’s definitely one of my favorites. It has great LGBTQ+ and People of Color representation I wished I could’ve seen more of growing up. I think y’all will enjoy it, its got some great humor and recognizes the importance of friendships. :p

That in itself is fantastic. Nothing like that was shown in the 80’s. I loved her because she was a strong woman who didn’t take any lip. Unfortunately my little grade school mind didn’t realise she was a sex figure. There were hardly any diversity and any mention of something besides extreme heterosexuality would have been shocking.

This is more exciting! LGBTQ+ and inclusion! :celebrate

Yeah I took a look at the 80’s She-Ra... and yikes every princess had NO distinguishing features :lau

And there’s only more shows to follow the same path! Kipo and the Age of Wonderbeasts is a great one, and The Owl House features it’s first bisexual Afro-Latina lead protagonist from Disney!

I've seen the new She-Ra and all of Kipo, and I absolutely loved them! I'll have to check out that other one though. The Dragon Prince is a Great one to watch as a family, It doesn't have any LGBTQ+ characters that I remember but there is a lot of diversity in the characters which I really appreciate. Also if you haven't seen Avatar the last air-bender you need to watch it NOW
