I love mantises! Here is one I found last summer.

I picked her up and then she climbed on my back. My brother took this picture.

And this is the picture he took as the mantis jumped at him and he ran away screaming.

I also love them, (I've actually kept 2 as pets [male and female]). After mating the female ate the male (this is what they do) and I got foam case with 100-200 eggs.
