I've noticed that, too. I use Environmentally friendly Laundry detergent lavender scented, But not fabric softener. Anyway it smells like lavender in the air. They placed my dryer vent going outside, Right by the back door, underneath of decking & steps. It's a real pain on the knees crawling on gravel, under the deck, to clean off the screen. There is lint screen in the dryer, but the exterior screen, meant to keep mice out, still collects lint & needs cleaning every few months. Anyway, I have wild rabbits that like to hang out under the deck. I also found out when I came face-to-face, that an occasional skunk likes to hang out under there as well! Lucky for me, Mr. Skunkarooni likes me & didn't turn tail! I find it ironic that a stinky creature is drawn to the smell of lavender. Naturally I have nicknamed my skunk Pepe Le Pew!
