no but he doesn't want her in the garage and we dont have a kennel small enough for the coop and he wont let me cover the nest boxes

I assume she'll knock it off eventually. I keep throwing her off and taking all her eggs but she'll brood on nothing too

Mochi will brood on anything... a rock, the cold ground, shavings, she even seems to be brooding on her roost in the broody cage.
