I'm comparing breeds now. From what I know, toy poodles are very smart and active dogs. Maltese arr a bit more easy going and make good lap dogs.

I didn’t think poodles came in brindle? Maybe they’re not common?

Its a UKC accepted color, not AKC. It is a accepted and more uncommon color of poodle. Still 100% poodle though

Speaking of fakers, I really want a toy poodle or Maltese. I'm not sure which one.
It would be nice if I could find a well bred one around Rosie's age (1-5 years old) for her to play with since Teddy would rather lounge, and so I can dress them up in matching bows and outfits

It's probably the haircut. I'm not a huge fan of those cuts, I prefer these, though these are toy poodles
