Mistake 1.

Left an egg on the stairs to the raised walk in coop. (I was collecting them and set it down to refill the chicks feed)

I come back, I think it rolled off and the chickens ate it.



Theyll probably start egg eating soon. All I found was a puddle of egg whites.

Mistake number two.

Double batch of waffles. I should have just made a single batch. Now I have a lot of extra batter after feeding the whole family. Guess I’ll be standing here cooking waffles most of the day.

I give my chickens eggs all the time and have never had an issue with egg eating. Especially if it happened outside the box/coop, I don’t think they will associate it with that.

Yes. I give them to my girls all the time if I find a cracked one or have too many or whatever. I also feed them back their eggshells without the contents as well. Never had an issue.
