My rooster looks better than the hen but they still got second place in the old exhibition bantam class. The leghorns got third place in the egg production 'pullets' class, no ribbon for them though. My meat pen got fourth place in their class. There were only five chickens in their class though. My young bantam cochins got third place in the young exhibition class. I think it was a bit unfair though. Some kid brought five pairs of young exhibition bantams, most of which were rare breeds, so my one pair of bantam cochins didn't stand much of a chance. The kid won first and second place.

I took the chicken 4-h projects and part of that is showing them at the fair. There was also an open show that anyone could enter but I didn't do that part, since I didn't want to show the same chickens twice.

The mosquitoes: This one is weak! Suck it's blood!

In other words, I was outside for a little less than ten minutes when it's not even dark yet and I still got like five or six mosquito bites. Also I have a fever.

So I was feeling a lot better today. Key word: was. I ate two mini Fruit-by-the-foots and now my fever is back and my throat is sore again. I will not be eating Fruit-by-the-foot anymore.
