Just got back from riding Rain! In the next month or so, I can start cantering!

What’s St. Lucia day?

It's a Sweedish holiday, basically about a saint named Lucia, who brought food and light to people in need. Theres a couple story variations.

I've been riding for about 2 months, give or take. I do a lesson once a week, so approximately 7 lessons so far (I think...?)

My riding instructor thinks I'm doing pretty good, but I first should start learning the cues to bump up to a canter. I'll probably at first only be doing a couple of steps of cantering, but will likely increase the duration. Also, the horse I ride, Rain, will need to be having a "good" day for me to try it.

I will. He seems to be the wisest in regards to genetics. Not sure if he knows about hereditary diseases specifically on the Z chromosome, though...

I forgot to tell you didn't I? He replied a few days ago. Basically, he said that he hasn't encountered any. BUT, it will still be fun to look into! Have you found any good resources that talk about that? (This is for Emma, wherever she is).
