This morning was so nice I decided to ride my horse.

I had a few set backs when I inspected my equipment. Two of my helmets were otherwise occupied.

After removing the empty nest in my black helmet I inspect my saddle.

Then I retrieve my rather less-than-thrilled KMSH.

After a thorough brushing he's in a better mood.

Saddle is put in place, cleaned, and cinch is inspected.

Hooves and legs are inspected while the saddle is allowed 'rest' before final cinching.

When bridle is in place Dink is finally ready to ride!

After a few moments of ground work to make sure his mind is on me we approach the mounting block.

And off we go!

The grill smiles at us while we go by.

We take the high road, the low road, and the road inbetween.

And we are back at the barn!

I thank Dink for being patient with the photo shoot.

Happy Mother's Day!

Ride 'em Cowgirl!

Loved the series of pics, I felt like I really was there. I miss riding, so that was a nice break! Thanks!

Happy Mother's Day to you as well. Thanks for the ride along pics.

Nice saddle. Reminds me of a Gaits of Gold 4Beat Endurance with irons. What kind is it?

What kind of side pull are you using?

Somebody is looking at details! The saddle is an Amish made 4-Beat I purchased in 2005. The bridle is a Dr. Cook's Bitless Bridle.

There are many stories of Dink on the Gaits of Gold website. He was challenge for me to work with as he is very reactive, but with consistent natural training he's come a long way.

Although he is not a horse anybody could ride, he and I are best buds!

Thanks for looking!
