Comet still sick, 2nd quessing vet

Hi, my golden comet is still sick and lame in one leg. The vet put her on Metacam, an anti-inflammatory, but not anti-biotic. He does not recommend a de-wormer ( the small amount of green mushy fecal tested negative ) because of interaction with the Metacam. I am not convinced about the negative worm but the other hens are all healthy. He says do an Xray on leg - the leg is the root problem, the other symptoms are secondary. That may be, but it sure seems systemic to me. The droppings are green and watery. She only eats a few bits of canned corn ( with some Tum mixed in as per vet. )
Drinks only a little. Does not move except to stand on the good leg. Otherwise totally lethargic and stationary. This is my favorite chicken - she is the smallest of the flock ( the others are other breeds ) but she is the most out-going. I am having a hard time deciding about whether to spend another 100. dolllars in hopes an xray will reveal something, or let her go ( euthanasia. ) Any thoughts on this condition ?

Worms will not cause your bird lameness...

This is why the droppings are green (not eating...)
Your vet is doing the only thing he can by first making sure there is no physical injury which may be causing this (the only way you can really "see" is an xray)... outside of that there are several possibilities ...
How old is your bird and what was her diet in the past?​

Hi. My Comet has not improved, actually she will not stand anymore at all and is eating one bite of yogurt a day. The flock is free range and she had been on a diet of layer mash, a few sunflower seeds every day, a few wheat bread crumbs, then whatever bugs, etc she picks up around the yard. The not standing may be from sheer weakness. She won't touch oatmeal, corn, and now not even the cooked squash. Her eyes are closed most of the time. I hate to let her go without knowing what is wrong but it does not look good. Thanks for any input.

Oh - she is 5 years old. The rest of the flock is healthy but not currently laying. Some molting going on.

I do not know what further advice to offer you (except general support measures such as ensuring she is drinking adequately, adding a supplement to prevent deficiencies) and sparating her to a temp stable environment. There are so many things that can cause lameness...
