I have been lurking around the board for awhile now and figured I better come an say Hi. I have always wanted to have chickens and on a whim last summer I bought 5 bantam chicks. Then my quest began on what I'm going to house them in. That's when I stumbled upon this message board. After checking out many beautiful chicken coops built by members, I jumped headlong into my project and built a 5 x 6 salt box coop. Now I'm hoping to expand on my little family. My first go at incubating was a flop and now I'm trying again with a mix of 27 eggs.
Along with my chickens I have 3 german shorthaired pointers and a couple barn cats. I look forward to meeting everyone and learning more.
