Coming out party

We recently finished the fence to our chicks' (Eight weeks old) yard and put in their door to the yard. They started going in and out right away, like they live there. Thursday we will have their coming out party (debutante ball?) The humans will have carrot cake, the cats will have herring somewhere else on the property. I'm not sure what the chicks will have, maybe a pancake. Should be fun.

. I love carrot cake. I've been meaning to make a homemade carrot cake for some time now, all I need are carrots.lol.

It's a good feeling when everything is finished. We still need to make our roost and nest boxes. I'm in the process of integrating two small flocks and the xl kennel is taking up a lot of space. Have a great party!
