Company just did a 15% Pay cut ......

First, I am blessed that I still have a job. Thank the good Lord!!

But 15% is a large amount. My wife and I need to sit down and review our budget and figure out where we can cut expenses. I know that she is going to bring up my animal budget. Ouch. No more hatching eggs for me for a while. I have 6 Roosters and the ladies to go with them. Perhaps I need to start hatching and selling my babies and eggs...

Just wanted to share. Thanks in advance for your thoughts and prayers.

Such hard times, Ed. Sorry that they cut your pay, but as you said, it's great to even have a job in this bad economy. DH and I do not even have jobs, so our "voluntary poverty" we entered into about 6 years ago is serving us well, LOL. Cant lose what you dont have, right?I know you can survive this.

Hatching and selling the babies is a great idea! Around here ANY checks advertised go like hot cakes.

I feel your pain. We had a company wide 10% paycut Febuary 1st. Than my husbands company got rid of all overtime work, which meant an average of 6 hours less pay a week.

But like you I am grateful to still be working, and have benefits.

Good luck, I know you and your family will be able to get through this time. And hopefully we will all gte our pay returned to normal scale soon!

So sorry to hear that, I also took a pay cut this month... it's tough.
I got my first paycheck with the cut on the 15th, ouch. Good luck to you!

And thanks to everyone for your kind words. I know we will get through this, but there are some that I work with who are the sole provider for their family and for them it will be extra difficult.
