I have raised my flock on TSC's Dumor brand layer feed and my crew is doing great. The eggs are great as well. Strong shells, nice yellow yolks, and the eggs are large in size. So, my question how would feeding a higher priced feed help my chickens and the hens' egg production? I was thinking about switching from Dumor to Layena until I saw the recall Purina had issued on the Layena feed, I just stuck with the Dumor brand since my flock has done very well on it from day one. Anyway, I would like to know if the feed would make that big of difference.

In my area, Dumor is the most expensive. TSC recently opened a store about a month ago, and they have the highest prices EVER! They are way higher than our feed stores.

If you're getting good performance with the feed you're already using and you're satisfied with the price I would not change it.

.....Alan.

I agree. No need to change.
