Comparing Red Rangers to Salmon Faverolles

We just sent 10 Red Rangers to freezer camp at 10 weeks. No health problems like the Cornish X but, not impressed by size or white meat.

All in all, I will just stick with my extra Salmon Faverolles roosters for eating birds. They take a bit longer, but are not smelly and stupid :)
 
Hate to say it but you sent them to freezer camp too soon. Rangers are a slower bird and 14-16 weeks is more like it. As far as smell adding some ACV to the water or feeding fermented mash would end that. I let some Rangers go to week 20 and get plenty of meat.
