Dead takes forever to grow them to towel size again though

I think that Kiki had a cloth towel in the 'bator. Those just need cleaning. Occasionally bleaching. Sometimes burning, depending on what eldritch horrors it has come into contact with.

Exactly!! So scared! Also tortures them with a regular light bulb so dem babies must be freezing

Incandescent light bulbs give off heat -- the newfangled LEDs are the cool ones. Warm, yellowish light from older bulbs is warm, though -- it's what we used for our first few batches of chickens.
