Complete newbie from Chester County, PA / 4-H

Hi everyone,

I'm a city-born turned suburban/rural girl living in beautiful Chester County, PA. When our son turned eight, we headed to 4-H and joined a poultry club. Now we are collecting our supplies and waiting for our Silkie bantam chicks to arrive. I'm already learning so much on this forum (like how to transform our swing set into a coop). And I look forward to learning & sharing more with all of you.

p.s. You might be asking "What is Mommy Forward?" It was a blog I started a few years ago to document my shift to nurturing myself without neglecting my family (i.e. Mommy moving forward in life.) The name stuck, so that's what I tend to use online.
