I'm from Australia and it tells me I can't work on that task because of my location. The 'au' on the end of my email address must give away the location. And I'd have liked to submit my new chook tractor. How long does this go for and is it too late to enter?

Do you have a chicken coop page? If not then you need to start one up and use lots of pictures and documentation to explain how and why you built it that way.

I am not sure why it won't let our members from across the water participate, but I am sure that Nifty is working hard at fixing the issue.

Thanks Jim. I'll have to get onto making a coop page and photos in the morning. I don't imagine my tractor will rate too highly, but at least it's something different being made of steel tubing and sheet metal.

The rating page asks for an email address. I reckon if I'd used an address ending in .com rather than .com.au it would have let me through. I share your confidence in Nifty sorting it out. Thanks for the help.

Deb, you never know about how your tractor will rate because they want them rated on how well they work and much less on how they look. I rate the page on its clearness of information and how well it serves the birds not on looks or pretty details. So you might do better than you think!

Hi! I would to rate the coops. My husband and i want to build a coop for our chickens we get,
ounce the coop is built cant wait. I love this site.

OK, maybe I've done this wrong so far, so Nifty please let me know.

First let me day that I haven't seen a coop I haven't liked. They are all great. They are all 5's in their own right.

What I was looking for as a perfect coop page was lots of pics, lots of instructions and hopefully a materials list. What I was getting out of the rating was to find the pages that if someone needed to build, they could go to that page and everything they would need would be there. There are some pages with a lot of instruction and few pics. Some with a ton of pics, but no instructions. Some have no real instructions at all. Some may have a pic.

For me to give a 5 I've been looking for th ulimate coops directions. There are a ton of 3's and 4's, but I've wanted more for a 5.

The hardest part for me is to get past all my ohhhhhs and awwwwws and go for the complete package. Not saying one coop is nicer, but that it clearly shows how that coop was made.

So, am I doing it wrong?

The way I get this assignment is that it is a clear page, lots of clear pics and step by step directions and materials list. I gave a high rating to one I would have otherwise just clicked off of any other time, because they had lots of pics and very nice directions along with a great sence of humor.
