Completly lost. Trying to hatch eggs

Another one peeped, but on the wrong side. So right now i have one hatched, one peeped one the wrong side, and one starting to zip out

Got 3 more this morning. A yellow one, black one and another black nn.(i think) the suspected nn is still in the incubator covered in slime with the cord attached. He was the one who pipped on the wrong side. He made no progress all night so i busted him out this morning

If you want a completely foolproof, 100% accurate meter to measure against for calibration just buy a Bacharach sling psychrometer. They are about $80. They set the industry standard for moisture and temp measurement.
So I decided to do the salt test on my hygrometer that is attached to my thermometer before we go into lockdown. I have not had any issues with it but I thought I might as well know for sure what it is doing. I put the salt in with the water and sealed the hygrometer and the salt in a ziploc bag. Within 5 mins, the hygrometer was reading 74% but I read that I should leave this in for 6 hours or more. Is the waiting necessary or can I assume that my instrument is pretty accurate?

I dont know a thing about the salt test. Im an hvac tech. We just use an old sling psychrometer and calculate rh using wet bulb and dry bulb. Fsr as i know its the only 100% accurate way.

I wouldn't assume anything. However, I'd give it at least a couple hours to make sure it's not going to continue to increase.
